Wine and paracetamol

OK this is a stupid question. Not many questions are stupid but this one is, however I am asking anyway. Dont shout too much please. If I am taking paracetamol, and by that I mean full dose, 8 tablets a day, clearly going out and getting drunk is stupid, but how bad is a little glass of wine? Likely to push my liver over the edge (it works fine otherwise as far as I know)? I am not an alcoholic (honest) but wine just helps me to relax!!

I would check with a pharmacist just to see if it would be ok to have just 1 glass.

I've been taking various preparations that include paracetamol every day for 20 years. Do you think I've managed 20 years without a drink? Or even a session?

Paracetamol can damage your liver. Alcohol can damage your liver. Therefore there is a small increase in risk if you take both together.

Ditto to ssash's post. 14 yrs for me. Depends on your liver though. You may feel you have more of a reaction than normal. My drug therapy nurse says my liver function tests say mine is made of cast iron Wink.(thankfully)
