Great, my eczema's back after 20 years

So it hasn't flared up for 20 years and now it's back. I had forgotten just how shitty it is to have eczema!

Strangely enough I only have it on the whole of my legs. Is this an adult thing? I used to have it on my face, neck, arms and behind my knees before.

I went to see the nurse at my GP's yesterday and she prescribed Piritin and a cortisone cream. The cream seems to help, but obviously isn't a long term solution.

I have read a lot of praise about Aveeno on here. Is it really that good? Also in comparison to Eucerin? I vaguely remember that creams with urea helped.

I would appreciate any hints and tips and general sympathy, I am feeling quite low at the moment and can't believe just how much my bloody legs are itching!

Have you ever tried evening primrose oil?
It is no longer officially recognised as an eczema treatment because it doesn't work for everyone. However, for some people it is a miracle cure.
My DH's eczema was awful, but EPO cleared it up within weeks.
You can buy the tablets at Boots etc. Take them daily for one month. In that time you'll know whether or not it's going to work for you.

In the meantime, creams will be your best bet.
