Cerezette

I'm wondering if there any others that had similar issues with Cerezette?

I was taking Cerezette for 8 weeks, in that time my skin became awful and I was having terrible mood swings. I decided a week ago to stop taking it and I started bleeding heavily yesterday.

A few days ago I started feeling a bit unwell, couldn't warm up, headache, light headed, dizzy, feeling sick and my moods are worse than ever!

Could this be the pill or have I got some random bug and PMT?

Any advice would much appreciated Smile

TIA

My moods are fine on Cerazette and I don't get periods at all. I'm not sure about your symptoms being related to having stopped it. Speak to your GP.

there are quite a few threads about cerazette side effects on here so I'd do a search to find some. I was fine on it btw and had no periods for 3 years.

I was prescribed Cerazette because it's a progesterone minipill and it's OK to take it while breastfeeding. I had to stop because I had massive mood swings, tiredness and heavy bleeding, when I told my GP, she was very apologetic and said that progesterone is a hormone that makes you feel low. I stopped taking it and continued bleeding for a few days after, GP said that is all right, just getting out of the system. GP said it depends on your hormonal balance, Cerazette is not suitable for everyone.

I started taking it a month ago and have had loads of mood swings. Stopped taking it a few days ago and feel a million times better.

I've been taking Cerazette for years & it's worked wonders for me. No periods & no PMT. it doesn't work for everyone though, I would definitely go back to your GP & see if there's something else you can try.

I also started taking it, and my side effects were almost identical to yours. May be a wonder pill for some, but guess it affects everyone differently. Coming off it was the best ever, and was only it for about 6 weeks.
