After over 12 months of the dentist suspecting tooth pain was sinus related ,episodes of swelling and excruciating pain , the diagnosis now seems to be dying/rotting nerve under crown.

Xray at dental hospital shows cracked root and extraction seems only answer .
I forgot to ask and am wondering now whether a cracked root will make extraction difficult ,if it will break as extracted ?

And whether it's really the case that because it's infected ( still a lump on gum and still painful ) it will be difficult to numb ?

Anyone any advice or knowledge ?

Mine came out fine, same as you before , horrific pain.
Have left gap as it's just at the side so not visible unless I do a mr Ed style smile !
Had a tooth impant at front tho and very impressed with it.

Was the root cracked ?

Was it still infected when extracted and did it get numb enough ?
