Your poor dd, i imagine she is quite anxious, as are you Sad

I was treated for blood clots on my lungs when I was 27, completely out of the blue, no pregnancy/ flight or anything.

Treatment is quite lengthy, I was on blood thinners for 6 months and had to wear compression stockings. I had to inject myself with frag in for the first few days and then had warfarin tablets for the rest of the time, I think your FDA treatment will depend on whether she is breast feeding?

After the six months was up I had blood tests to determine what had caused the clots.

My clots happened nearly 4 years ago and although it was very scary I am now living my life to the full.

All the best to your dd and you
xx

I had DVT and PE after having my son and it wasn't diagnosed for 6 weeks. I had Clexane injections at first and then moved to Warfarin for 8ish months. This involved weekly and then fortnightly bloodstests at a special clinics.

I had DVT up my entire leg and still have pain (DS is 6). Travel insurance is a pain. Other than that I feel back to normal.

The main thing is that they are aware there is a problem and can start treatment. Hope she feels better soon.
