4yo dd finally has Chicken pox... is it normal that she's throwing up?

It all started with throwing up and diarrhoea (sp?) for dd and ds on Friday night. DS is fine, but dd is now sporting 'lovely' chicken spots as she calls them.

She now hasn't eaten for 2 days and is very pale & weak. Had a bit of milk and that strangely enough is staying down. Water and chamomille tea didn't.

Is it normal to throw up with cp or should I take her to the doc?

neither of mine did with it but ds was quite lethargic and lost his appetite to begin with.

I didn't get chicken pox until I was 16 but in the week before the spots came out I was very sick!!

she's lethargic alright :( ususally she's such an energiser bunny and all she does now is veg out on the sofa :( poor little mite is covered in 'sores' and what 'fun' we have trying to get the callamine on. She's a clean kid so hates having anything on her. Will try the oat-sock in her bath tonight to calm skin down. Touch wood it'll work

ds wasn't sick at all... but maybe if they both had it it was a different bug and she's just been unlucky enough to follow it with chicken pox?

My kids didn't but I did before I came out in spots age 9. Felt absolutely terrible, but much better when the spots came.

DS was sick once while he had cp. DD was a baby so hard to tell.
