Mum's found a lump...

So as not to drip-feed, will give as much info as I can.

Due to badly prolapsed uterus, Ma had a hysterectomy approx 30 yrs ago now.
She still has her ovaries as they were healthy.
She has had half her bowel removed and loads of polyps, but no colonoscopies in recent years as symptoms have eased off a bit.

She used to be a massively heavy smoker (60-80 per day I kid you not) but since diagnosed with COPD four years ago she gave up for a year but is now back to 10-20 per day.

So, she has been having a brown discharge down below, abdominal pain and last night found a lump.....

She has doctors appt tomorrow morning but is worried sick.

Any ideas/suggestions? Am trying not to worry but am a bit freaked TBH.

no idea but i hope you get the info you need as soon as possible. can't she get an emergency apt today?

Nope - earliest was tomorrow morning after lots of "this is important, I cannot wait"

so sorry, know waiting is the hardest bit. my advice is don't google anything as it will only worry you both. try to remain calm and suggest mum takes someone with her with a notebook (to write stuff down) and to think of questions in advance. I have cancer (and waited 5 weeks for total answer so really do understand). hugs

Oh over - thanks for the hug, and am so sorry to hear you're dealing with cancer. It's such a nasty fecker! Sad

I have been on google already but without asking Ma more questions re her hysterectomy/discharge/general health I can't pinpoint anything specific.... And obv don't want to upset her so am keeping schtum.

She has said she wants to go on her own to process everything by herself first. FWIW I don't think that's the best idea but with her in Dublin and me in the Wales - I'm no use anyway!
