cough contamination

I have a tickly productive cough, and in reading other posts have discovered I shouldn't take anything for it as the cough is productive, and therefore doing its job.

However, I want to get better so what should I take or do. I put my hand over my moth when I cough, but should i be washing my hands every time after? Should I be at work? Am I contagious?

I don't feel great, but I am still functioning.

If I have a cough like yours I usually find that cutting out milk in my coffee seems to help, also find that herbal teas are quite soothing - or hot water and a bit of brandy/whiskey before bed can also help.

Apart from that it's really just letting it run it's course, try and get some early nights in and forget about vigorous exercise, no one wants someone coughing and spluttering on them in the aerobics class, lol !

As for the washing hands bit ! yes !, every time, use a gel sanitiser if you can't get to running water.

Hope you get well soon x
