Another fanjo related question?

Apologies in advance if TMI...

I've got a squishy swelling on the inside of my vulva near to my fanjo and it's blinking sore! It's bigger than a zit but not enormous and I noticed it on Sunday for the first time.

I do occasionally get spots on my bits which burst or clear up themselves (not very frequently but it has been known), but this is bigger and in a different place (further back). It also seems to be under the skin rather than on the surface and certainly doesn't have a head or anything.

So what is it? What do I do?

Apologies if this is a bit hideous but, you know, ow!

Bartholin cyst perhaps? I had one & it hurt like hell!!

If it still hurts tomorrow get it looked at. It may be an abcess.

A few years ago I had an abcess on my bits, I failed to do anything about it for a few days as I didn't know what it was and didn't realise that it was a serious thing, and ended up in hospital having an emergency operation to drain it. Narrowly avoided getting septicaemia due to me delaying and was off work for a month.

Get it looked at!! Even if it's not an abcess - better safe than sorry!!

I had a Bartholin cyst 2yrs ago, went unnoticed by 2 gps & 2 nurses! They kept saying i was reacting to my mirena coil which was recently put in at the time! Even after examinations!!! I went to a&e after pain killers not working and being unable to walk and was examined & operated on that day! It was so big it didn't need a drain! it was pretty much popped turn inside out and stitched to me. Confused

Right. Ok. I'm on holiday at the moment but I'll keep an eye on it. I'm in the UK so can pop to the doctors somewhere I'm sure.

It doesn't seem to be growing or anything, and it's not so bad that it's uncomfortable to sit or anything. But it is painful to touch.

In the short term, I'm going to stop squeezing it!

Thanks for your help.

could it be an ingrown hair - have you done your bikini line recently?
