swimming is a good toner as it does arms and legs... poss not too great for tum try the dreaded sit ups or stop eating wheat flattens my stomach in days if only I could stop eating it all the time!

pilates is great for toning.

also bodybalane class which is a mix of tai'chi, pilates and yoga. It's harder than it looks and gets muscles working you didn't know you had!

DH, works 2 full time jobs, so was thinking of something I could do at home, perhaps a good video workout, besides not too keen on the idea of making an ars of myself in evening classesGrin

ooh, love Bodybalance...

Waterfalls, how about a yoga DVD? Fab for toning. Or there's a good Pilates/yoga fusion thing by Louise Solomon called Yogalates (made my stomach v flat after I had dd)

hi waterfalls,

I swear by the cindy crawford workout 'new dimension'. 1993 so quite old, but it's absolutely BRILLIANT at toning up, has lots of different exercises to tackle each muscle. It takes 1 hour to do, and I think if you did it 3 times a week you would really notice a difference. It's pretty cheap on amazon, about 5-6 pounds I think. If the aerobic bit (about 15 mins) is too strenuous, just do the toning bits). You need hand weights, but can just use bottles of water instead if you don't have any. anyway best of luck!

Lose the weight & wear loose clothes! Or maybe you know someone who's good with a sewing machine? Of course tone up also, but having just lost 8kg and still counting, I can't begin to describe how much better I feel! Grin Yoga is excellent for toning & relaxation is an added bonus. Walking is excellent too.
