Breast reduction on the NHS?

I'm considering having a breast reduction and I'm keen to find out others experiences.

Has anyone had one done on the NHS? My breast do cause me a lot of discomfort and I'm thinking of making an appointment with my GP to see if I would be a suitable candidate for a reduction. I'm assuming he would then refere me on the a surgeon.

I'd be grateful for any advice.

I think you need to be realistic, in the current situation it will be a long wait. I have had to wait over 18 months for reconstruction following a maestectomy and have been told it will be another six months. I would expect to be higher up the waiting list than you. Try to look at other options.
