Does anyone know anything about this, or have it? I am having a blood test for it on Wednesday (my mother was told last year she has it, but I am only just getting around to having the test Blush)

Are there any telltale signs, apart from the blood test?

My dad has it- I've never bothered getting tested - should I guess.

He had white moons in his iris- deposits of cholesterol apparently. The optician asked him if he had high cholesterol to my dad's surprise.

Apparently if your parent has it you have a 50% chance of having it too... you should get a blood test!!

Should do- he was dxed when I was quite young so they said to wait. His mother had it as well! (although she lived for years on a diet of fat!!). I am a bit careful about what I eat, and don't have moons in my irises :o, but will check next time I go to the docs.
