Jingly, i had CIN3 and needed the same treatment. It is pretty straightforward. I had to have two lots of treatment, but i was the end of stage 3 which is why i needed the extra round of treatment to ensure they had got all of the cells.

My first round of treatment was a breeze to be honest, i went shoe shopping afterwards Hmm, took some paracetemol and had no significant pain.I wore a sanitary towel as i bled a little bit (to be expected). The second round was more problematic as i seemed to bleed more and was more uncomfortable - i think this was because i was a bit more uptight about it the second time. I doubt you will need two goes though as you are ony CIN2.

So with regards to going back to work, i think i would probably leave it open if you can, so maybe tell them that you may or may not be in - depending on what you do for work. If you need to be covered then i would maybe book the whole day off as i had to go to bed after treatment 2. The treatment was without complication i wonder if it was more to do with where i was in my cycle (i phoned and enquired becaues i wasn't expecting to feel shitty).

It was all fine though - i had a couple more smears at six month intervals and then yearly smears for ten years, back on three yearly recall now.

Thanks for your reply, good idea about work I will speak to them, I work for social services so could catch up on my ever mounding pile of paper work if I do decide to go in.

I'd forgot about the bleeding so will remember to take a towel with me.

Glad you're all clear now.

I had this many years ago for CIN 3. Then 20 years later for CIN 1 (although it was called mild something??) Had the treatment twice recently so three times in all and am now clear. The first time wasn't great tbh but more recent treatments have been fine afterwards with no down time. You might want to book the next day off, I did, but it wasn't necessary.
