re a close famiy member.. He has probably drank pretty much most days since he was 24 ish ten year on still the same. As far as I know its larger but how many cans is anyones guess! He looks to me anyway like hes got a waxy complection, not got your typical beer belly though.. anyway he has experienced episodes of fits of late!! Im thinking alcohol induced epilepsy?? what do you think? and what do you think he could do to improve prognosis? thats if he even wants to!!

stop drinking???? He needs to go to the doctors and find out why the fits have started, im not a medic so i don't know but it could well be liver related. But it equally could be anything, so he needs to go to the doctors - that is his first step to a better prognosis. The stopping drinking, if hes an alcoholic is going to be difficult. Maybe you could talk to him??

Hi thanks for reply! yes of course he def needs to stop drinking. I know that but I dont know if he can/will! Have nagged him for years about this but it goes over top of head- history here is his father was an alcoholic died before he was fifty. You would have thought this would stop him from getting too far into the drinking but no. Does anyone have any knowlege of the relation between alcohol and epilepsy? If he has got it what will happen? How will he be treated?
