Lump in breast

A few weeks ago I visited my GP because I have been having pain in my right breast. I was examined and the GP said that she couldn't find anything to worry about. Yesterday I started prodding about and I can feel a tiny lump that moves in my breast near my armpit. I can only find it if I use the tip ofof my index finger and if I use the pads of my 3 fingers I can't feel at all. Do you think I need to go back to my GP or if I can't feel it when examining with 3 fingers should I not worry. Could it be a gland? I have my period at the moment.

Wait until your period is over, then go back to your GP and show her the lump.

If you prod with your finger tips as opposed to your palm you may be able to feel all sorts- ribs, chest , lymph nodes, tendons, muscles etc etc.

But better safe than sorry so as Bonsoir says- go to GP just to be sure it's nothing.

Well. Just back from GP (3 rd doctor in practice I have seen in 3 months). She examined me and is convinced that all she can feel is normal breast tissue extending under the arm. Tender so suggested taking nurofen to help the inflammation die down. Said that if she had any doubt she would have reffered me. I think I need to let go but I find it really hard. Does anyone ever get like this. I was never like this until I became a mother but I seemed to be super anxious over my own health.
