intrathecal pain pump?

Hello,
Has anyone had an intrathecal pain pump implanted into their spinal cord?
I'm awaiting my 3rd spine op, and if it is unsuccessful, my neurosurgeon suggested an intrathecal pain pump.
Just wondering if anyone has had any experience and if it helped reduced your pain?

I don't have any experience with a pump but do know of a website with a forum with people who have had one.
