Cortisone injections and Achilles tendonitis.

I have had Achilles tendonitis in both since beginning of the year.
Have seen physio and podiatry and had anti imflamatories, ice, exercises and orthotics.

Now physio is talking about referring me for Ultra sound guided cortisone injections.

Has any one had any experience of this? All the information I've found says they increase risk of rupture and not that effective.
Has any one seen any specialists regarding this?

Thanks.
