Hi everyone
Please can I ask about ovarian cysts and similar things. I am in so much pain I can hardly move and am limping when I walk and have been since the 2nd Aug. I get this pain from when I ovulate (I think, but shouldn't be as have the implant) until I get my period which can be anything from 2 weeks to 4 weeks afterwards. I had a scan and was told I had a 30cm volume cyst on my left ovary (large black smooth edged fluid filled thing) but that there was nothing on the right. Most of the pain is on the right and is very focal. DH is telling me to get back to the GP but I already have another scan booked in the next fortnight so I can't see the point. Has anyone had anything similar??

Yes me, pain on the side without the cyst was endemetriosis that was also growing. I ended up with a cyst on otherside too.
I presume you are due removal of cyst?

You need to see your GP. A 30cm cyst is huge- they only do something about them if they are over 5cms, so yours should be dealt with.

Pain on your right side could be your appendix, and if you have an implant and shouldn't ovulate anyway, then it needs investigation. Go to see your dr.

thanks guys

I have no idea about cyst removal (I have a consultants appointment booked for Oct!) but I thought they only removed them when they were over 5cm in length and mine is 30 cm in volume so probably shorter than that. I'm just not sure I can get to October Sad.

I would go to gp, pain might be unrelated and does need checking incase its a problem with the implant.

They should remove it as they can burst.

Mine was 20cm in length! They can do keyhole.

Go to your dr. I have never heard about " volume". I had one and it was measured in cms- i.e. 3.5 x 1.5 type of thing.

Unless it is on a stalk and twisting, it should not really hurt. I didn't know I had one- it was found during an health MOT.
