Grim periods after second child

Is there any hope for me?!? I'm in the middle of my third period since my second child was born.

As well as being much, much heavier than usual, I am suffering from really extreme headaches. Almost a migraine really - this morning before I had taken some painkillers the light was sort of "flaring" in my vision.

I've taken both paracetamol and ibuprofen together which has helped a bit, but feeling incredibly tearful and hormonal all day. Is this normal?!? Is it just my hormones sorting themselves out?

Does anyone have any recommendations for a) more effective painkillers b) any other supplements etc that might be helpful. I stopped BF entirely at about 5/6 weeks btw.

No ideas i am afraid but would suggest you go and see GP. I would have set tearful and hormonal was normal but if it is depression that it may be post natal baby blues and really best to talk to your doctor. I have heard evening primrose if good for period pains but as i say I would speak to doc first. all best wishes.
