Does anyone know if schools (in Scotland) do hearing tests for kids over the age of 5,as part of an assesment or would i need to go to the Doctor and ask to be referred?

I am pretty sure that they do.

you could write a letter to the school nurse to make sure.

He had one done last year, when he was in Primary 1. It should have been doen in his pre school year, but typical Fife health board, it wasn't. She said then that he was hadn't heard the last noise on the hearing test, but it was nothing to worry about Have since noticed that he has the TV very loud, and we have to go right up to him to get his attention the teacher hasn't said anything.
Anyway i wasn't sure if they get any more assesments, therefore getting another test

Ah then I would take him to your gp, the hearing test is done on admission or just before and only repeated if there are concerns or histoy of family deafness etc.
