Mole removal -recommendations

Can anyone recommend a private plastic surgeon/ clinic to whip off a few moles? I am in London. One mole is on my shoulder, so need someone decent in the hope of minimising scarring.

Many thanks

No idea on the private side of things, but the NHS made lovely job of removing the massive one slap bang in the centre of my chest - you can't even see the scar unless you really look for it. In fact I had to point it out to DP as he'd never noticed it - in ten years!

This mole was about as big as a ten pence piece...so we're not talking a tiny little thing here. The guy was really good and was actually a plastic surgeon, which surprised me a bit... Don't write the NHS off completely, why not go for a consult and see what they advise?

Because I don't have time to see a gp, wait for a consultation, go to that appointment etc. I have a very full schedule and want to make one appointment with a plastic surgeon and get the job done! I would expect the surgeon I see I'll also does nhs work, so not writing the nhs off. Just don't have time to spend dealing gating the nhs!

Don't know anyone at this place but they have a reasonable reputation: sk:n clinics- one in Harley St. Google for details.

You would still need a consultation even privately- I did. Had a facial mole removed. Appt with surgeon first then removed a while later. You can't just walk in and have it done same day.

If you are in central London why not look at the main private hospital websites under Cosmetic/ Plastic surgery?

I saw Malcolm Rustin to have a 'thing' removed from my ankle. 18 months on I do still have a mark, but I mark very easily and things take ages to fade. I see Susan Mayou at Cadogan Clinic for other dermatology stuff - she would have been my first choice but her waiting list was too long and I just wanted to get on with it.

Dr Martin Wade - saw him a few years ago to have funny mole thingy taken off my neck - hair loss and skin cancer specialist. Was very happy with him.
