daughter's top gum at the front is very red

she's finding it very painful.
it's about 4 teeth away from her front teeth and just above the tooth on the gum---very red indeed.
anyone any ideas?

what toothpaste do you use? coul she have something stuck in it. calgel or bonjella for initial pain relief

no, don't think anything's stuck in it. it's just so much more red than the other side. i have made an appointment for this afternoon at the dentist's. just hoping it's nothing serious as i've actually sent her to school....only because i couldn't get through to dentist's before 9am and even then no guarantee of an appointment...disgusting in my opinion!....the "appointment" this afternoon is just a "wait till everyone's been seen" jobbie. anyone know if it's more beneficial to be in "Denplan" with three kids? (Used to be in it years ago when I was working.)

hmm maybe an adult tooth tryinhg to cut?? or a wee gum infection, glad you got a dental appt. chlorahexidine mouth wash is good for gum infections but you dentist would have to reccommend a suitable conc
