Hi
I have had an aching tooth for a while, went to dentist, he said I had bee brushing too hard and caused gumline to receed, I stopped brushing so hard and pain went :)
Noticed a tiny slither of tooth came off the other day, I mean minute. I have just ate a choc bar and a few mins later had the most excruciating sharp pain fly up into my gum and face, never ever known anything like it, made me feel numb! Had gone in a second. Had a couple of twinges since but getting less. Sitting here now terrified it's going to happen again.
Anyone else get this?

I used to have sensitive teeth, and still have to some extent. Found changing toothpaste helped in my case (to Colgate). Never had a sliver of tooth come off though. Think you should see your dentist about that just to check there's no underlying cause.
