Does DH need a tetanus jab?

DH stabbed himself with a rusty nail whilst going DIY.

Will he need a tetanus jab and if he goes to the GP tomorrow can they do one there and then?

Not if he's had one within the last 10 years.

He could either go to a walk-in centre today and get a booster, or see the practice nurse tomorrow for one.

He won't be able to get single tetanus at the GPs (not sure at the WIC) so he'll get boosted for diphtheria and polio too.

In the meantime he should encourage it to bleed then wash and dry the wound and cover it with a plaster.

Not if he's had one in the past 10 years OR had 5 in total.
