Why am I weeing so much?

Hello
I have been on here moaning now and then about periods! I think I am pre menopausal. I am only 33 but my periods have gone down to about 2 days when use to be 7 days.

I should not moan really except for the fact I would be devastated if I never have a child again. But it looks like it maybe that way and I should be happy for the children I have... which I am.

My period this month was only 2 days, then 2 days of nothing and then one day of bright red spotting, then nothing and then a pink jelly show?

Anyway I have been weeing non stop and it has got quite embarassing. I was out yesterday with someone and had to wee 7 times between 10am and 4pm. If I had a bladder infection would it not smell or pain would be present? Today i did not count but its still over often. I will go to GP if this carries on next week.

I then had this magical thought that I could be pregnant but that would be wishful thinking and surely with a bright red period that would not be possible as an implantation bleed is more brown blood, because its old blood right?

I almost bought a test today until I told myself that I am being an idiot as I bled for two days bright red and then two days later more bright red.

Guess my periods are just slowly drying up, I am drying up ;(

Do a test, all those symptoms could be pregnancy

DawEtoHaul · 28/07/2012 20:07

I know nothing about this, am not a doctor, so please don't read this and worry - but from family experience, this is one of the signs of diabetes. Do you have any other possible symptoms - excessive thirst, fatigue, putting on weight?

It may well not apply or you may well already be aware and have discounted it, but just in case...

its a pain as there are no places near me that sell cheap tests, they are all the expensive ones and £10 to just see "not pregnant" is really irritating :)

i also think that its got to be a very small chance that i am pregnant as I did have my period bang on when it was due it just just medium flow and bright red but a period all the same. if i was pregnant i am guessing it would be lighter and more brown? be interesting to hear of there are people on here who had a period similar to mine, bright red and was pregnant? then i would spend a tenner!

hello DawEtoHaul,
its not in my family and i don't have the symptoms you say. I am naturally slim but I am tired. The tiredness and excessive weeing has only been last few days. my period was last saturday.

I would go to the doctors actually, DawEtoHaul is right, it could be a symptom of diabetes, it most likely isn't, but excessive weeing is a symptom and it could well affect your periods too.

realssm · 28/07/2012 20:14

its been last few days so if it still like this on monday then i will go. because i have been going so much I am not sure too if i am thinking about it too much. but some of the wee's i done i was literally bursting and felt like i was going to explode.

You can absolutely develop diabetes even if it's not in your family, but it doesn't sound like you feel it applies here - good! Hope you find out what's up soon.

Lucyellensmum99 · 28/07/2012 20:27

Do please get checked out, there are different forms of diabetes and it isn't always hereditary by any means. It could actually just be a low level infection.

realssm · 28/07/2012 20:33

thank you i will x

If ti's diabetes then the urine loss is a really good wee- not just little wees.

You could have an infection - have a look at this site www.cobfoundation.org

(might be a dot after cob.)

Is it a case of you so have to go or you will pee yourself?

Also....I was checked for fibroids with my peeing for England.

Turns out I have an irritable bladder to go with me being an irritable cow Hmm

realssm · 29/07/2012 22:18

ha ha crazynanna!!!

they are not little wee's but each one is a full on one. its weird as they are not as frequent as the evening comes and I am not waking in the night. just a large portion of the day. sometimes i went three times in one hour then every other hour, day before every hour.
