DS is only 24lb at 2years. Is this normal?

So, is it?!!Hes only small build anyway, hes still in 12-18months old clothes, but compared to some other kids, hes so skinny.

Yes, as my ds2 was around that for ages now just under 3 and I think he is now 28lb, he's just little!

DS was 25/26 or something like that at his 2 year check. It hasnt even entered my head that it might not be normal.

dd was only 9.5kg/21lbs at 2! She's still only 13 kg/ 28.5lb's ish at 4 1/2.

The only reason im asking is cause when we change him, we can see his ribs really easily.

I would say it is completely normal.

My DD1 is 22 lbs at 19 1/2 months, DD2 is over 12lbs at 6 weeks though!

I think it is. My ds is 29lb and he is 2.4yrs. Very tall but thin so height wise he looks about 3 .5yrs. Ds has put on a whole 3lb since he was 12mths

DT1 is exactly the same. She clearly has no intention of ever growing out of her 12-18 month clothes.

Dd1 was still 24lbs at age 3 but in the last year she's put on 12lbs so she's caught up a bit. Dd2 is 2 and weighs 24lbs like your ds. She's small - on the 9th centile for height and weight.

my dd is 3.2 and she is only 25lb little and good

Ds is 2.5 and 23lbs. In 2 yr clothes 'cause he has a huge tummy, but 4" turn-ups. Very lively - just a fussy eater and has been for a year (until then was well-padded)
So long as he's happy I wouldn't stress. Good to get a bit of extra wear from the clothes I would have thought.

Ds is 4.9, and weighs 33 pounds, not sure what he weighed at 2, but is little. Dd is a heffalump at 2! If they've got plenty of energy then I wouldn't worry too much!

dd only about 22lb at just over 2 she has just gone into 18 24 month clothes because she has a huge tummy but lose her hands and feet in them! she was only a little baby, but she has always been chubby i like to say she is undertall!! a lot of it is genetic i think neither me or her dad were tall although think her chunkiness is from him

He looks pretty normal to me though.

i CAN SEE ds ribs when i change him and he is 3 and weight 2 stone 4 pounds.

i all you mummies with lightweight babas as mine is 17 mths old and was last weighed when she was 15 mths - 28lb 10oz - she is a stocky, tall baba

Dont worry.... my 3 3/4 year old is still less than 13kg and in 18 - 24 months clothes

Even her new trousers purchased LAST WEEK are 18 - 24 months!)

she does however eat a LOT of very nutritiouse food... shes a child who eats pretty much anything and rarely eats any unhealthy food at all (cause i dont feed it to her... whats the point when she prefers stuff that does her good ?)

she eats at least as much as i myself do!

I think she is just destined to be petite (like her mum!)

I would think that there is nothing wrong with your ds. My youngest ds is 22.5 months an 22lb. I think he will be lucky if he hits 24lb by his second birthday. His weight is on the 9th centile and height on the 25th.
