Would you question your doctor/consultant ifmyou were nearly 100% sure they were wrong? I am sure they are making a mistake with my treatment and I want to ask for another appointment to challenge this Can I just ring up and ask for an extra appointment even though I saw him Monday? Not due to see him again until oct and then it could be too late

You are always entitled to a second opinion and drs r wrong. All the time! If you have doubts then go back if it saves you taking medication you don't need or won't help then that's a good thing :)

Not cheeky, nobody's perfect. As long as you are polite about it and explain your concern it's fine. I've pulled many a GP up on incorrect prescribing for general stuff in combination with my RA drugs. I've had it for 14yrs and am an expert on the intricacies of my drug regime , the've probably got no other patients on their list of thousands, with those drugs. I often get things double checked after all it's my health we're screwing withWink.

Definitely get a second opinion if you're not happy.

I did with ds1 as I wasn't happy being told he 'just has a virus'
Got a second opinion and he was diagnosed with blood poisoning!!

Always trust your instinct. Good luck!
