Odd dimple appeared on my shin - Help, any ideas?

I've been running around with the little feckers DC all day and had a few moments of pain in my shin, sort of a pinching feeling but there was nothing there.
We gave the children a bath and I was sitting on the bed brushing through their hair with my leg tucked und me and I got a really sharp pain in my shin followed by pins and needles. I didn't look at my leg until an hour later and there is a dimple in the spot that hurt, it's about the size of a 50p and it looks like a scar?

My foot feels a bit odd but I'm not in pain, any idea what this could be? My lower leg keeps going cold. I stress I am not in pain more concerned about the cosmetic side

If the area is red and its warm to touch it might be worth getting it checked out, I am no expert BTW.

No not red or swollen. I've googled and googled and can't find anything, it's so weird and my leg looks like someone has bitten a chunk out of it from the inside?

If you have pins and needles then bloods not circulating right , might be blood cessel related...Happened once in my finger but it was dark red and swollen..so maybe its not...bumping so somebody else might have some ideas...I would probably go and see somebody about it though..

Your lower leg going cold sounds a bit worrying. Nhs direct?

Could do, just seems a bit ott. My see the doctor tomorrow if I can get in.
I can't get over the lack of stuff on google, it is so odd.
