spotty (but not spots) upper arms

I have, and have had since I can remember, kind of spotty or pimply skin on my upper arms - though they are not spots or pimples. But it gives my arms a bumpy texture and you can see lots of little kind of red/brown pinpricks all over them. I don;t know if that's just the way I am, or if it's some kind of eczema, or what. Doesn't hurt or itch and has always been there and I see other people with it on the street so suspect it's common. Anyone know what it is and how to get rid of it?

Sounds like the dry skin my DD has.

Could it be keratosis pilaris? If you google you can get pictures, (don't worry, the pictures aren't a blue waffle!)

If it is, it's an overproduction of keratin which clogs the pores, exfoliation and moisturisation can help.

Yes thank you I think looking at the pics it must be that. Will get a rough sponge and strong moisturiser.

I get this. Exfoliate regularly when you're showering and use a shea butter body lotion afterwards - hey presto, nice smooth arms Smile

Daktarin cream works as well.

I have been told that a cream with a high Urea content, such as cracked heel balm, works wonders.
