Styes, styes and MORE styes!

I am plagued with styes, have been for the last year. it clears up, then reappears. all along the bottom lid of both eyes. its sore and painful and ugly. I dont wear eye make up, I dont use flannels, I have changed face washes a zillion times... what can it be?

You need to see a doctor who will probably prescribe you some antibiotics to break this cycle.

My Partner gets this. He was told to clean his eyes with baby shampoo.

Moorfields do patient information sheets with instructions. I can't link to it at the moment but if you google it, you should find it.

thank you, will try to get to the docs. woke up this morning and couldnt open my eye, its soooo sore!

I had a run of the over Christmas which everybody told me was stress related....
Went to the docs and she gave me some cream and told me to us cotton buds to clean all around my eyes with baby shampoo as the follicles get blocked which causes styes.... She also told me under no circumstances are they caused by stress - that told me then.....

I had one, my gp gave me tablet antibiotics and cream antibiotics.
