Does anyone take Calichew?

I'm about to start taking them.
Early onset osteoporosis.
Just a quick question or two:
Do they erm...bung you up?
Also do they actually work more importantly?
Anything else I should know?
The GP didn't really give me much to go on.

Not Calcichew but Ideos- can't stand the taste though and looked for an alternative

Take yourself off to the Osteoporosis Society website/forum and read up there.

If you google you will get the usual list of side effects, which may or may not include constipation.

Have you actually read the ingredients in Calcichew?? Aspartame and sorbitol to name two. It's also calcium carbonate - one of the least absorbable (is that a word) types of calcium. You'd be far better off buying separate supplements and doing research on one of the good websites (I don't think the UK website is very good tbh)

This is a good website https:www.inspire.com/groups/national-osteoporosis-foundation/.

Some good books to read are The myth of osteoporisis by Gillian Sanson and Osteoporisis the silent epidemic by Marilyn Glenville.
