period has come back while i'm breastfeeding

I have a 3 month old dd, who i have been fully breastfeeding, but today i have noticed that i have some brown dischange and for the last few days i have had some crampy pains, i was wondering if this ok?

Yes - periods can return when you are Breastfeeding

It varies from woman to woman tho

I got my period back after 3 months whilst bf'ing. If you're worried have a chat with you DR's.

Mine came back around 8 weeks last two times.

Mine reappeared at 6 weeks ! Don't forget to take precautions though.

Mine came back nearly a year after DC1 arrived ---- when DC2 arrived stupidly forgot you need to ovulate to menstruate.

Mine came back after 6 weeks too with both dcs despite ebf, and continued normally throughout bf. it's the luck of the draw I'm afraid

I was really surprised as I'd previously had erratic periods, often going three months or more between them, so I'd presumed they would disappear for the duration.

Mine came back at a few months while exclusive breast feeding twins. I win

Not a stealth boast at all, mine came back at 4 weeks. Felt like I'd been conned by the bf fairy, was expecting a bit more respite from period pain. Even had a bit of a rant at my gynae over it he said it was luck . They were then regular as clockwork.

5 weeks for me both times, whilst ebf. It's shit!

Mine was back at 4 weeks. One word of advice - get a coil fitted if poss rather than going on Cerezette (I BF for 10.5 months and used Cerazette because it was deemed safe and am now pg...was not planned or expected!)

Wow, mine didn't come back till 18 mo #1, still no sign at 14 mo with #2. Sympathy to you all!

in my ds1 it cames after 6months when i start solid for him, in my ds2, he will be 1years next week but still didnt get it, so every pregnancy its different, dont worry.

My DD it returned after just 6 weeks. My DS1 was literally 28 days after he was born. DS2 6 weeks. DS3...12 MONTHS. All ebf at the time periods returned. Tbh, I was getting worried with DS3 because it wasn't normal for me not to have them return pretty much straight away. I think it was more to do with the fact that he bf far far more frequently than any of the others. Probably because he never slept! still bloody doesn't-

I was looking forward to respite from periods, but despite ebf, mine came back after 4 weeks both times, so I'd had a period before my 6 week check.

Second time GP put me on the mini pill so I wouldn't have periods, so I was ebf and bleeding continuously! Nice.
