I think I have tonsillitis?

Self-diagnosed. Does this sound like it? Really painful on swallowing, a tickly sharp cough and a red, prominent swelling/lump. Can this clear up by itself or is antibs the only way? I can't sleep coz of it :(

Thanks for replying. It's a quick fix diet if anything, too sore to swallow! Every cloud!

Take a couple of pain killers if you haven't already.
