My dd suffered from this along with UTIs and thrush from the ABs. She took a capsule of probiotics - the ones you keep in the fridge. Also I made up a mixture of olive oil with drops of tea tree, myrrh, bergamot, juniper, lavender and thyme. I used this religiously(she was little at the time bless her)twice a day to clean around her bits. Took while but eventually cleared it up. Soap was no good and I don't think you should use it anyway shoul you?

No ive been told not to use soap or perfumed stuff. So annoying, really knocking my confidence and sex life :-( Just want a cure....why me :-(

I used balance activ to treat BV when I had it. Bit messy first time i used it, but cleared it up.

I went into overdrive when I had recurrent BV. Several things that I did:

Went to sexual health clinic to get swabbed to ensure that it was only BV I was dealing with. Once it was established that the BV was the cause of my pelvic pain, I was given high dose antibiotics that I took for several weeks (think it's the same treatment that they use for gonnorhea).

Also, I ordered very high strength probiotics tablets online (acidophilus) and took around eight tablets daily as well as placing tablets in vagina too in order to try and rebalance it.

I used cider vinegar as a douche which also is supposed to help restore vaginal balance and added capfuls to bath too.

Touch wood it worked - really hope you can solve yours as I know how awful it is to have.
