Concussion - Is this normal?

Had a bump to the head (face, possible broken nose) on Saturday afternoon.

Had a nose bleed at the time. Felt a bit sick Saturday evening. Went to bed as normal.

Felt sick and intermittent blurred vision yesterday. Also felt a bit out of it. Had another small nosebleed. Took myself off to minor injuries but they were closed so went to A&E where they checked me over and said I had concussion. Go home and rest. Didnt really look much at my nose but said it was too swollen to do much and to see my GP in 7 days for it to be assessed as he/she can then send me for xrays if they think its broken.

Came home - didnt do much yesterday afternoon. Folded the odd bit of laundry but for the most part sat on mumsnet and watch TV. Fell asleep early evening in sofa. Woke about 11 felt sick. Went to bed. Felt really nauseus. Slept until 2am when I woke drenched in sweat. Got up changed etc and slept through to 8am.

My nose/face still hurts. My forehead aches a little as does my cheek bone. Feel OK but still odd and detatched and just not right. Obviously there is pressure in my nose from the swelling so I feel a bit head coldy too. But is it normal to feel so tired, lethargic and peculiar 40 hours after the bump????

I don't know if this is normal, but if it was me, I'd go to the Drs as soon as possible.

Hope you feel better soon.

Don't mess with knocks to the head. Get to a doctor/A&E asap.

I would go back to A&E.
