White spots on eye lids?

Hi, i have always had white spots on my eye lids (they come and go, i couple on each eye), they are like milk spots but dont cause me anyproblems, except today one of them is very painful and has doubled in size.

What are these spots and how do i get rid of them?

have you had a cholesterol test lately?

look here.

They can also be a symptom of diabetes according to this site.

i used to pick them out with a needle Grin

they are caused (imho) from too much eye or face moisturiser, don't get them now but used to

I have always just called them whiteheads and have them on my cheeks. And I have noticed that I seem to have a lot of them at the minute.

My dc used to get them a lot and she used a sterilized needle to get rid of them.

I don't use any creams on my face (of make up), just wash with warm water as i have sensitive skin.

Slightly worried about it being linked to diabetes as i have been having a few other symptoms (which i have ignored) so maybe i should ask for a blood test?
