Found a lump

On Sunday I found a lump in my armpit. It's about the size of a pea and sore to touch.

I went to the Doctor today and after a thorough examination (which was mortifying as I work in the surgery) he confirmed that it is a swollen lymph node. I have no sign of infection, however, he gave me antibiotics do we can try an see if that helps.

If the lump is still there after a week I've to go back for a referral for a scan and investigations.

I am trying not to panic. Everything will be fine. It will. I will not allow myself to think of the alternative [scared emoticon].

((hugs))

I know its not nice to think of the 'C' word but the good news is, that if it is sore then its more likely to be an infection then anything else.

It is scary. I had a lump investigated earlier this year and was bricking it - luckily it was nothing serious. Fingers crossed for you.

Thanks Smile

I keep trying not to think of the 'C' word but the more I try the more it leaps to the front of my mind ifyswim?

Will just have to see what the next week brings. The good news is that the Doc couldn't feel any other lumps in my breasts or other armpit.
