MRI Scan Result - How Long ???

Can anyone tell me how long to expect to wait for the results of a full spine & head MRI ?? - I've had one in the past, probably 7 years or so back & I'm sure it wasn't this long

I had the scan 3 over weeks ago, rang the Nuro secretaries office yesterday to chase up as still no news & I had a lot of problems with the actual appointment itself, losing me, no promised appointment came through etc etc - had exactly the same thing with another hospital dept too recently

From the secretary I just got "we've not had it back from the radiographer yet"

• does that sound normal - I was sure the radiographer said 10 days - 2wks, but I was a bit shell shocked as I get claustrophobic in those damned things, so may have miss heard/remembered wrong.

I do ned to se my GP with possibly related problems but I know there is no point until scan results are in as she will just refer to that & do nothing more

I didn't want to waste time presuming it was because the secretatry didn't seem that concerned - & the ending up wasting 7 months as I did over the damned previous follow ups as they'd "lost me"
