hi. is there anybody with epilepsy? i've had since i was 17. currently i'm having weird episodes happening to me lots of times during the day everyday. you know the feeling when you're about to fall asleep when you feel like you're going to fall, i get a very similar feeling but instead i feel like i'm skidding and losing my feet - that's a sensation i feel in my head. i'm momentarily frozen to the spot and i lose awareness of what people are saying to me. i'm not sure what happens to my vision. it's only momentary but they occur in clusters so i have between 5 or 6 in one cluster and have numerous of these clusters through out the day. does anybody else experience this? i've had this several years now and not been able to get it under control with meds altho grand mal seizures are controlled by meds. i have myoclonic epilepsy so if i don't stop when these occur or if i rush arond and get myself in a flap, i find the episodes get stronger and lead to my hands jerking. just wondering if anybody's ever got an explanation what these things are if they have them because my neurolgist has referred me to a epilepsy specialist centre to see if they can come up with something to control them. thanks for any help. i've found not putting myself under pressure and doing things one thing at a time really help to control these episodes but it is frustrating having to do things slowly. x
