Headache With New Glasses

I got my first ever pair of glasses today and was advised by the optician to wear them for reading.

An hour into curling up with Brew and Mr Grey Blush I now have a banging headache. Is this normal? I have never had a headache from reading before and really don't struggle to see. To be honest I was surprised to be told I need glasses at all and apparently the prescription is not that strong. Should I persevere with them or take them off for the rest of the evening and carry on reading without them?

I would take them off - no point in making yourself feel rotten wearing them, I think if you can see/read ok without glasses then don't wear them ! perhaps you just need them now and again when your eyes are tired or there is bad light etc.

And i would not let anything get in the way of Mr Grey !! lol

I would go back to the opticians and have a word with them about what has happened. I should think you and the new lenses could do with a recheck. But don't just shove the glasses in a drawer and forget about them.

Have you tried them again today? Any better? I suspect not.
