Tummy ache

Hi,

Not a frequent poster but thought the wise people on MN might be able to help with this one.

I've had diarrhoea for the last couple of days which i assumed i'd caught off DD who got it from nursery and is now fine. Didn't feel too bad at all apart from a few tummy pains just before I had to dash to the loo but had the last 2 days off work so i didn't pass it onto anyone else, but it seemed to be clearing up this afternoon, haven't been since this morning. I haven't eaten anything but dry stuff in the last few days either.

However, tonight I have horrible tummy ache. Literally laying on my bed with the laptop and a hot water bottle on my belly. It's making vile gurgling sounds and the pain comes in waves like a griping pain. And my tummy is full of painful wind which smells vile (sorry for tmi!) I was hoping that the diarrhoea was over but now I feel like I need to go again to relieve my stomach.

Any ideas?

Hi,

I had the same thing week before last, DD brought a bug home from school, she was off her food and had the runs for a couple of days then 3 days later I got it.

I started to feel off colour at work... kind of weak and nauseous but wasn't ever actually sick. I had a bit of salad for lunch and within less than 30 mins and whilst combing out a client I got what can only be described as the most urgent and sudden need for the loo ever!

I had a repeat event less than an hour later and had to go home, barely made it back before it happened again! OMG!

It lasted a couple of days with all the symptoms you describe, seems to be doing the rounds everywhere!

Hang on in, you will feel better soon!
