Anyone else get weather headaches?

Please tell me I'm not alone - my new workplace looked at me like this Hmm when I had a migraine today, and I told them (in my usual migraine gibberish) that it was probably caused by the low pressure. I'm not stressed or tired, which are my usual migraine triggers (along with flickering light). I've had headaches caused by (imo) low pressure before - but not a migraine. I couldn't breathe very easily either, it was so muggy (also asthmatic).

Anyone else get these headaches?

I have had a headache for the last week but have never given it any thought as to what has caused it. I assumed I have a cold brewing. I rarely get headaches.

TheCunningStunt · 27/06/2012 19:53

I get a headache if it's to hot or cold. I always get a cold everytime the weather changed mid season. Ie if we have a warmer spell in winter or a colder one in summer!

PooPooInMyToes · 27/06/2012 19:54

Yes! For about 3 days now. And I've ran out of paracetemol!

cocolepew · 27/06/2012 19:54

Me and a lot of people I know! I need it to thunder to get relief.

bluebump · 27/06/2012 19:56

I get these, I've been out for more headache pills already this week as i've had a headache since Monday.

Catsmamma · 27/06/2012 19:57

I used to ALWAYS get a headache before a thunderstorm, as a child and a teen.

I graduated to migraines, but now I have learned to spot them early and medicate before they hit me and I have to spend the day in bed!

I do still get random headaches with changeable weather, but we so rarely get any thundery weather up here it's hard to tell if it really is connected.

HermioneE · 27/06/2012 19:58

Yep, me too.

Susieloo · 27/06/2012 20:00

Yes!! They started when I was a teenager and my head is like a barometer now, desperate for some rain or a storm to clear my headache and general feeling of bleughness.

BatmanLovesCheese · 27/06/2012 21:23

Oh, brilliant (obviously not for you lot, but you know what I mean!)

I'm desperate for the weather to break - it's starting to feel as though there will be a storm in the next couple of hours. Crossed fingers there is Sad

AmberLeaf · 27/06/2012 21:27

Yes! I can usually tell when thunder/rain is coming.

susiedaisy · 27/06/2012 21:31

Yes definately low lying heavy cloudy muggy weather is a bloody nightmare!! don't know why I look forward to the spring and summer in the ukSad

Collision · 27/06/2012 21:32

I had one today. The weather felt muggy and I wanted it to rain!

MrsMcNulty · 27/06/2012 21:39

I have woken up with a headache every morning for the past week, so was putting it down to the weather of course! Should ease when it thunders.

BatmanLovesCheese · 27/06/2012 21:55

It's definitely cooler and a bit breezy here now. I think a storm will be here very soon.

Hurts like a bugger if I bend down though. The only thing for it is a Magnum glass of water, some more tablets and a book in bed.

PeanutButterCupCake · 27/06/2012 22:02

My head is banging today Hmm

NoComet · 27/06/2012 22:11

I do sometimes.

DD2 is in a real grump, whether it's the weather, pollen or lack of sleep or a combination, I don't know. But her head hurts and horrid mummy sent her to school.

She's been to scouts tonight do I don't think I was very mean.

BatmanLovesCheese · 28/06/2012 12:43

Hurrah! Thunder! Headache is lifting now.

Just had a comedy thunder moment - was walking back from the shops when the biggest thunderclap occurred right overhead. Jumped out of my skin and had adrenaline shoot down my back, only to see a very fit young bloke had done exactly the same and looked extremely sheepish Grin

bunjies · 28/06/2012 12:49

Yep this happens to me too. No sign of rain though in London so still horribly muggy.

PeanutButterCupCake · 28/06/2012 12:51

ThundEr here too Grin

Headache gone but sooo tired despite 11 hours sleep Hmm

AngelWreakinHavoc · 28/06/2012 12:52

Yep! it is really dark and muggy here. my head has been banging for 3 days.

LoopyFuckbadger · 28/06/2012 13:00

Hope it gets better soon everybody

(I was Batman...)

TwoIfBySea · 28/06/2012 13:03

I don't get migraines, just regular annoying headaches - at the front of my head, especially lately with all this damn rain (and being Scottish I should be used to this!) It gets heavier if it is thundery.

susiedaisy · 28/06/2012 16:21

Another day of heavy muggy weather, rain is imminent but just won't arrive and my head is banging Sad

GotMyGoat · 28/06/2012 16:36

Yep - they are wonderful migraines. Have had loads this year as the weather is jumping all over the place.

Had a huge thunderstorm in brum this morning, thought things would be better after that - but it's still barmy.

WheresMyCow · 28/06/2012 16:41

Me too...not migraines, just headaches. Just wish that the thunder would come and clear the air.
