With all the fuss about tax dodging, I would like to think that all your members have an ongoing concern that the health service we have all relied on will still be their for our children and granchildren. However parts of the service have alreadt been handed to companies using tax havens. When Nye Bevan began the NHS in 1948, his ideals were that no-one make a profit from other's suffering, that every patient be treated as you would your mother or child and every penny spent as if it were your own money! Now we have handed Surrey community health [£600m] to virgin care, Suffolk and two midlands NHS operations to Serco etc etc You may recall that the Cornish out of hours service [in a very inaccessible county[was left with one GP over bank holiday w/e, this is run by Serco! Also as private companies they are not subject to freedon of information act enquiries or permit whistle blowers.I ask you to petition this uncaring govt. to not award contacts to companies using tax havens! If you care for the future health of your family please take action now.
