My toe is acting weird

Hmm what is going on.

When I walk around it feels like something is dripping on my toe next to my big one. It also feels a bit like it has something jumping inside. It hasn't been banged, it doesn't hurt, there is nothing on it. It is bloody annoying. Doesn't do it when I have my sandals on Confused.

Hi just Smile It sounds like a circulatory problem give it a good massage with calendula oil and put yr feet up high for 10 mins every day;also I reckon you probably have a too acid diet I'll help you modify it if you want (you knew I'd say that didn't you!)

JustFabulous · 22/06/2012 13:08

Really? It is so weird. It honestly feels like there is lose bone in there Confused. It doesnt do it when I have my shoes on. It is horrible.

Just having a salad Smile.

I am confused by what I eat that is acidic and I have sat with my feet up for a bit and it is still being weird.

I have just looked at it and it is swollen. It is quite a bit bigger than the others.

OP posts:
JustFabulous · 22/06/2012 20:18

It is bent too.

Did you bang it on something without noticing? well acidic food is pork, oranges (unless you're blood type is B) the deadly nightshade veg, (potatoes, tomatoes, aubergine etc.) also of course vinegar and what contains it) and just tea and coffee and some dairy. Sorry !!

By putting yr legs up I mean really UP on the wall for 10 mins after you get up.

JustFabulous · 23/06/2012 08:30

I don't remember banging it but this morning my big toe is doing it. Plus I am bleeding vaginally when I shouldn't so all in all I am feeling pretty worried. This week I have only had tomatoes and potatoes from that list and a small amount of dairy. Just a really weird feeling.

I would suggest that you get some camomile supplements and strong cam. tea to normalise yr hormones. Also when putting yr legs up move yr. toes back and forth esp. the big toe. Do you get cramp ever? 'cos that exercise helps that as well. Have a look at kelp supplements \spirulina or whatever they give you the vits. and mins you may need. Plus linseed oil supplements or just the oil I take it, olive oil and starflower oil every day they're good for everything!! Grin

ppeatfruit · 23/06/2012 11:13

you don't smoke do you?

ppeatfruit · 23/06/2012 11:15

White wine is very acid forming BTWGrin

JustFabulous · 23/06/2012 16:32

Hi, just back from 3 hours at the summer fair. I feel really shaky.

I don't smoke and my wine was the first one is months. How unfair is that?!

I used to get cramp a lot but haven't for a while. I have loads of vitamins from when I started the Pig 2 Twig diet but never remember to take them.

Possible nerve damage/compression. Could also be arthritis related.

If it is worrying you a lot then get your self to your gp.

Massage with anything will help and resting with your feet above your hips wont do you any harm.

JustFabulous · 24/06/2012 09:05

It is more unnerving than anything as it is so weird. I was going to ask the pharmacist today but I have woken up full of cold so might just hide from the rain and stay in. I am having a routine health check next week so will ask the nurse then if it is still being strange.

Just googled. Pretty sure it isn't that.

More likely you are overloading the second metatarsal phalangeal joint, especially if it's swollen. Have you been wearing flip flops or very flat shoes whilst out walking?
Possible morons neuroma but sounds like it's the wrong location and can be diagnosed by ultrasound rather than expensive MRI!
I'd go and see a musculoskeletal Podiatrist to get it sorted.

JustFabulous · 24/06/2012 19:49

I don't wear flip flops and my shoes are flat with with a small block heel, or converse and heeled boots.

I am too fat for my toes Blush.

OP posts:
lifeisfuckinggreat · 25/06/2012 15:45

Ah Justfabulous, it's not about being heavy or fat, it's to do with the way some people's big toe jambs up when they weightbear throwing the weight onto the next available joint. It's not designed to work like that and gets overloaded and inflamed.
