What shall I do about my ankle?

18 months ago I rolled my ankle, placing all my weight on that side for a brief moment before falling downstairs (at 18 weeks pregnant!). the pain was ask bad I nearly passed out and it swelled hugely but I did not get out x rayed for another few weeks. This was clear. A few months later I had some physio and she was quite shocked at how swollen it still was, told me I was hyper mobile and have me some exercises

Both ankles have always been"wobbly"by the way.

So coming up to two years on, it's still swollen, still very unstable, often rolling over and stillpainful. I don't really want to bother my gp as I actually song think theres much she can do. Umm, any advice? Thank you!!

Oh yes, gp did tell me to expect recovery to take a while. I just feel it hasn't got much better at all.

I think I have the same thing, but maybe not as bad as you. I also did the same thing whilst pg and actually ended up fainting with the pain whilst in charge of ds1 and ended up crawling to the fridge to get an ice pack. Shudder at the memory.

Anyway, I only buy very sensible shoes now. No heels. I am really careful on uneven surfaces. I swim and do yoga and whenever I remember I do ankle circles!
