Warning: TMI re clots

Ive nc for this, for obvious reasons.

AF arrived yesterday, 2 weeks late. This morning when I took my tampon out, there was something on it which I don't think was a clot but has freaked me out a bit. I can only describe as a pinkish flesh colored mass, about an inch long and half an inch wide. Not round but oval. It had blood on it obviously but wasn't dark red like a clot.

Any ideas what it could be?

Should also point out that I am TTC but had a BFN a few days ago.

Sounds like a bit of your womb lining that hadn't fully broken down before it came out. I get bits like this sometimes. Bit surprising but nothing to worry about I don't think. Are you wondering whether you had a v. early loss? I've had a couple of early miscarriages (around 5 weeks) and one was really indistinguishable from a normal period; the other was definitely heavier than a normal period and more painful/the pain lasted longer. So I think it's hard to tell as early losses can vary a lot.

Yes I did immediately think it could be an early loss but then with having a BFN a few days earlier, I started to worry it could be something serious.

I'm not bleeding heavier than normal though and cramping is quite bad but that's normal for me in the first couple of days.

I've never heard of womb lining coming away like that, and didn't really know what to put into google!
