Sickness bugs - after effects in adult

DD started being sick 11pm Tuesday evening, she stopped by 5am Wednesday morning, had breastmilk & toast on Wednesday. She has eaten relatively normally since then, maybe a bit less inclined to eat her tea but then that might just be tiredness due to waking two hours earlier than normal

I went down with it Thursday morning first thing, was violently sick until early hours of Friday morning. Felt jaded but ok on Friday. Today has been a different story, feel nauseous constantly, severe tummy pains alternating with feeling fine, gave up a few hours ago and retired to sofa.

Please tell me how to get better, DH is well miffed I will be ill over fathers day and I'll ruin the day out!

I feel for you slowly. My dd (2) was violently sick on Thursday night, dh all last night with diarrhoa too, and today it's my turn. The house is a pit as I ache all over. Really hoping my newborn keeps feeding well and doesn't get it too.
I promise you, if I could help you get better, I would.
As a rule though, when sick, I believe it's best to avoid dairy (incl butter) and obviously spicey and rich food. I've had plain pasta and a banana today, along with a piece of dry bread. So far it's staying where I put it but it's sore! Oh, and small sips of water regularly. I'm bf so just had paracetemol.
Would be really interested to know where you are geographically, but at this stage, where the bug came from is irrelevant.
Hang in there.
This too will pass (my mantra for last 48 hours)
must sleep now
