I do if I haven't eaten properly. I'm ok for ages and then it will suddenly hit me.

hunkermunker · 24/02/2006 16:56

There you go

TinyGang · 24/02/2006 17:03

Oh thank you hunker, I'll have a good read. Yes, some of that sounds like me. I seem to home in on the kids sweetie tin and dd's leftover lunch. I don't even like sweets that much normally either. Sounds like a sugar level drop.

Yes I do and I get ridiculously ratty and sort of 'desperate' - but then I do eat tiny amounts over the day and then am just ravenous in the evening.

TinyGang · 24/02/2006 17:05

Yes, it's like a loss of control over what you want to eat.

I used to get this quite alot, then one day almost fainted so went to see doc who said there more than likely wasn't anything wrong with me but took bloods just in case. Turned out I had hyper thyroidsim (overactive thyroid) - don't want to frighten you but just a thought.....

Hattie05 · 08/03/2006 22:36

I do often do after i've spent a morning doing loads of physical work - cleaning, decorating or gardening (never eat breakfast). I know exactly what you mean, i'll suddenly feel shaky a bit dizzy and merrily scoff myself and sit back thinking ahh thats better.
Minutes later i take stock of what i've just eaten and go Shock
