Help with Clindamycin for BV please

Was at the dr's today and mentioned the discharge I have had recently.

Dr said it sounds like BV, took a swab and prescribed Clindamycin - a box with a tube of cream and 7 disposable applicators.

When I got the medication home, I noticed it said on the box use once a day, at bedtime, for 3 - 7 days.

So I'm confused? How long should I take it for? Gp didn't say, pharmacist didn't say, and too late to ring and find out.

Any ideas?

Can't you just use it for next 3 nights, then ask doc on monday, then keep going or stop depending on what is said? or speak to pharmacy tomorrow/today/ i mean Saturday.
