Vitamin supplements - breastfeeding + TTC

I can't decide what vitamin supplements I should be taking and wondered if anyone could help. Since my DS was born nearly two years ago (I am still breastfeeding) I have been taking a general multivitamin + iron - this covers my Vit D requirements etc (I also give DS Abidec vitamin syrup). However we are now planning to start TTCing again quite soon. I know I should be taking 400mcg of folic acid per day, but my multivits only contain 200mcg. They also state you should not take them if there is a possibility of becoming pregnant, I guess because they contain vitamin A.

My question really is whether there is a cheap multivitamin supplement which would supply me with at least vitamin D and 400mcg folic acid, preferably other vitamins too, but without containing vitamin A. Does such a thing exist? I am reluctant to start taking expensive Pregnacare supplements - they cost about £10-£15 per month which seems a lot.

Any advice welcome...

Boots do some, also check offers at supermarkets online.
I've got 6 months worth of vits for the cost of 3, it doesn't feel like you're being robbed so much!
Good luck

Any of the supermarkets or boots, Superdrug etc do their own brand of pregnancy or conception vitamins and are often on 342.

Have a look on the conception board too and usually a bit of chat going on about vits
